Guards Say No to Randy Yes Man

The Washington Post reports that Igor Khoroshev, the 35-year-old keyboardist for Yes, has been charged with assaulting two female security guards during the band's Sunday performance at the Nissan Pavilion, near Washington, D.C. During the break in the band's performance, one security guard told the police that Khoroshev sat on her lap and attempted to put his tongue in her mouth. Then, when she rebuffed his amorous advances, the guard claims Koroshev sank his teeth into her neck. As if that wasn't enough, after the show Khoroshev approached another female security guard, made lewd comments, and then proceeded to fondle her buttocks.

After the incident, Khoroshev was apprehended by Prince William County (Virginia) police officers, was fingerprinted and photographed, and then brought before a local magistrate. The keyboardist was freed on $1,000 unsecured bond and an arraignment date has been set for August 9, which will be followed by a trial to on September 22. Khoroshev has been charged with two misdemeanors: assault and battery and sexual battery. If convicted, he could face up to two years in prison and $5,000 in fines.

In reaction to the charges against Khorshev, the band appeared to distance itself from the randy Russian and issued the following statement: "As the matter is currently under investigation, the members of Yes cannot comment on the allegations against side-musician Igor Khorshev. Any kind of violence or indiscretion against anyone will not be tolerated by the members of Yes."
