New Yes CD Delayed For US Release

The new Yes cd Magnification has been pushed back to a December 4th release in the US. The cd will be released in the new 5.1 DVD-A (DVD Audio) format, and Yes will be the first band to have a simultaneous release on both CD and DVD-A. This disc is also slated to accompany JVC's DVD-A  player in stores this Christmas.

Plans are underway for another North American tour in 2002 where Yes will perform in the regions that were missed on the 2001 tour. Yes are also looking into touring Australia and Asia in the coming year though there are no firm details at this time. The band will be filming one or more shows during the upcoming European tour, and this footage will be included in an upcoming DVD release that will feature the concert, documentaries, and other features.

Magnification will be released earlier in Japan, and will include a bonus track of the live mix of "Long Distance Runaround" that was included on the EP sold on the 2001 North America tour. The current plan for the U.S. release is to include a bonus to accompany the release, which might be in the form of an extra disk. Details are still being worked out.
