Yes Guitarist: `Fans Name Their Kids After Me'

A few years ago, MTV's "Road Rules" had a cast-member named "Yes" after the prog-rock band of the same name, but Yes' guitarist says that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Steve Howe says fans tell him all the time, "I just wanted to tell you I've named my child Steve after you."

Howe chocks that up to the band's "cult" following which he says is like The Grateful Dead and spills from parents to kids.

According to Howe, he's even heard of people naming their kids after his middle name, James.

Still, the "Road Rules" incident is the first time he's heard of a child named after the band itself -- though he says it's a "Christian name" so it's not too far-fetched.

Howe's new solo record, "Skyline," hits stores tomorrow.
