Just Say Yes

Progressive rockers Yes launch the second leg of their North American tour October 24 in Clearwater, Fla. The 11-date theatre run takes the band into the South, Midwest, and along the East Coast. According to the band's Web site (www.yesworld.com) this schedule is preliminary, so more dates may be on the way.

Returning band member Rick Wakeman joins singer Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Steve Howe, and drummer Alan White to re-form what most fans consider the classic Yes lineup.

"Touring with Rick again has been a lot of fun for us," Squire said. "The band is playing better than ever, and the fans have really been responding well to the shows. We are really looking forward to the next leg of this tour, as we feel we're just getting started."

Expert live performances have been a Yes hallmark since Anderson and Squire first put the band together in 1968. They have toured frequently for the past several years and Yes are now out in support of the recently released five-CD boxed set, In A Word: Yes (1969- ).

Yes have also released a new DVD, Yessymphonic Live, a live concert from their 2001 tour featuring a full symphony orchestra. Shot in high definition video in Amsterdam, the disc features behind-the-scenes material as well as more than two hours of performance.

Early next year, the band plans to tour Australia for the first time in 30 years.
