Pleased...but not...pleased

Good: image quality, length, a glimpse of the roadcrew who f**ed up more than one show last year..hit the road guys.

Bad: the 5.1 and DTS-sound...keep it in stereo, Roger Daltrey's narration, bugs (at least in my copy), accompanied images with the audio-dvd.

Reasonable: the documentary.

The image quality is rather very good, except for the still as mentioned above.

The sound ...and this is rather strange...should have been better in DTS..but no. Try to figure out what Roger is talking about? In more than one scene his voice is on the same level as the background music, making it very difficult to understand. More....his voice is not really in the center-speaker.

I switched to normal stereo-mode....which made it more acceptable. Mind you, I'm getting rather annoyed with Roger's background nonsence. He's talking to the audience as if we are watching a kids-movie... trying too hard to please... and overdone completely.

Kill history....Don't mention Rabin. For my part, I dont care. Never liked that period anyway...but still...it's not fair..is it ?

The docu: well...happy to see Rick alive and well and stealing the show.

I found Yesyears to be more satisfying than this release.

My impression is that the timetable for the release of this DVD, resulted into a product with missing quality. The sleeve of the DVD does mention: Yours is no disgrace and No opportunity etc....but its not on the DVD! The sleeve has the big logo of DTS...but it doesn't perform properly!

As to the live-recording: some songs are great, others are not...soundquality ...for some that is....is bad mixed or whatever. I see it as a missed opportunity (no experience needed from Classic Pictures ) to come out with something great.

So only 3 stars.

I rate Yesspeak - Yes 35th Anniversary - 3/5
