YES Man: Roger Dean Exhibit

If you've spent any time in your life staring at classic rock record covers in a haze, you don't need us to tell you about Roger Dean.

The British-born artist, 59, has created some of the most lush and visual album designs ever over his forty year career, but he's best known for the mythological, surreal landscapes he created for the rock group Yes, including their classic logo.

Following those triumphs, he went on to design classic covers for groups from Pink Floyd to Asia. Rolling Stone readers recently voted Dean's art for Yes's "Tales from Topographic Oceans" the best album cover of all time (take that, Sergeant Pepper).

Free, Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, noon to 6 p.m., Grant Gallery, 7 Mercer Street, between Grand and Canal streets, (212) 343-2919.
