Rick Wakeman has rejoined Yes
Rick Wakeman, rejoined with Yes, was lucky when his Range Rover (a $12,000
version of a Land Rover) lost traction on an icy mountain road in Montreux,
Switzerland, and plunged into a crevasse.
"We were about to stop the car and fix the snow chains when we skidded,"
explained Wakeman. "There were some children tobogganing on the road
ahead, a bloody long drop on one side and a deep crevasse on the other. I opted for the crevasse."
Wakeman and his road manager sustained bruises but were otherwise unhurt.
Wakeman's new solo album, White Rock -- soundtrack to a film about the 1976
Winter Olympics -- is set for release this month.
