Prog-Rockers Yes To Tour With Kansas

Classic '70s acts to hit 28 cities in North America this summer.

Progressive rock band Yes will unleash their epic songcraft on the road beginning in June, hitting 28 outdoor venues in just over a month.

Classic-rockers Kansas will open the tour, which kicks off June 20 in Reno, Nev., and winds down Aug. 1 in West Palm Beach, Fla. The band plans to focus on its longer, epic works throughout the tour.

Yes were on the leading edge of progressive rock in the 1970s, with such hits as "Roundabout" (1972). They modified to a more straightforward pop sound in the '80s with the 1983 comeback single "Owner of a Lonely Heart" (RealAudio excerpt). Last year they released The Ladder, their first album since 1994.

Last year Yes released The Ladder, their first LP since 1994.

Their live show also will come to television in May when PBS broadcasts "House of Yes," recorded at their Las Vegas House of Blues concert last year.
