YES: Friends and Relatives, Volume 2

11 December Eagle Records label releases a new album by the famous Yes, YES Friends And Relatives, Volume 2. The band Yes can be rightfully considered an elite rock group, more so among the bands that play progressive rock. A band created in 1968 by Jon Anderson and Chris Squire achieved phenomenal worldwide success having sold more than 30 million disks during their long history. It's natural that besides the work in the band the musicians of the crew have recorded their solo albums, as well as have taken part in numerous side projects. For example, in 1975 each member of the group released their own solo album. The idea of compiling samples from the musicians' side projects on one recording was accomplished in 1998 by the release of YES FRIENDS AND RELATIVES VOLUME 1. The second part of FRIENDS AND RELATIVES continues the initial concept and includes among the other tracks Jon Anderson's Magic Love, Rick Wakeman's Catherine Howard, Steve Howe's and Jon Anderson's version of Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands by Bob Dylan. By the way, like many of Yes's previous works, the new album features famous artist Roger Dean's cover design.
