YES GO SYMPHONIC
(Los Angeles-AP) -- It seems that Yes performing live with a symphony
should be a gimme, but they've never done that before this summer. Bassist
Chris Squire says the orchestras have no problem learning their music. He
says they're professionals, and a lot of them are Yes fans anyway. He says
the audience doesn't always know how to behave but they usually go crazy by
the end. Drummer Alan White says they wanted to keep it informal, so they
ask the orchestra players to not wear tuxedos. You can bet White isn't
wearing one. He says he can't play in anything but shorts because he sweats
a lot.
Yes will put out an album recorded with an orchestra called "Magnification"
on September eleventh.
