Jon and Yes are wrapping up their North American summer tour, concluding with two weekend Las Vegas shows on August 24 and 25. Once finished, Jon
returns home to continue work on “The Big If.”
During the summer tour, Jon has sung Show Me
from his new project as a solo piece, accompanied by Rick Wakeman on keyboards. The
audience response has been astounding, almost always resulting in an ongoing standing ovation.
This month’s new article titled,
Time And A Word
gives an inside look at the way Jon writes lyrics for his music. As the article states, “People have celebrated Jon’s solo music, and the music of Yes, for
some 30-plus years. Aside from its intensely layered complexity, sudden time shifts, and shear musical prowess, one of the most admired, albeit
sometimes baffling, components of Jon’s and Yes’ music has always been its lyrical content.” Now you can read exactly what goes through Jon’s mind
when he writes lyrics.
We also have a new video storyboard concept from Jon’s solo project created exclusively for this series by Jon and Aspect Media Factory. The song is
titled, Tiger Tiger,
and is about the Bengal tiger as it lurks in the underbrush, believing it is invisible to all other animals around it. The song boasts beautiful Asian
influences, and is a piece your sure to enjoy. You’ll also see that the video conceptualizations are evolving right along with the music.
On another subject, don’t forget to check out the “Build Your Own Studio” section. In conjunction with three of the music industry’s most renowned
