The most successful progressive rock band in history is getting boxed up
and going on tour. Former band member the keyboard genius Rick Wakeman
joining the classic line-up of vocalist Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire,
guitarist Steve Howe, and drummer Alan White. In addition, Rhino/Electra
Records will release IN A WORD: YES (1969-), a five-CD boxed set spanning
YES' entire 32 recording career, featuring 55 tracks (six previously unreleased).
YES bassist Chris Squire, "We are very excited to have Rick joining us in
this tour it's been something the fans have wanted to see for quite some
time, and we are happy to be playing with him again."
"I am so looking forward to this tour and hope that it may be just the
start of more exciting musical events to come," says Wakeman. "There is no
greater band in the world and it's always an honour to walk onstage as a
part of YES. This time around, there is no doubt it will be something
special." YES, formed in 1968, the dominant force in progressive rock music
for more than three decades, has continued to navigate the sonic
stratosphere and has created some of rock's most enduring and compelling
hits, including the classics Fragile and Close To The Edge.
