Both releases put a spotlight on the band and their music, which keyboardist Rick Wakeman told us is unique among rock bands: "There's very few bands, and Yes is one of them, where you can get five individuals come together, and however they sort of play, it comes out as a really unique sound. There's lots of bands with very good musicians that get together and play -- they end up sounding like lots of other bands. But there's a strange thing about Yes: when you put the five of us together, it does produce, you know, a sound of its own." Yes is planning a North American tour for April and May, with European dates coming in June and July. Yesspeak: The double-DVD set is a three-hour documentary on Yes that's narrated by the Who's Roger Daltrey. It has exclusive footage from their 2003 European tour, as well as interviews with the bandmembers about their music and themselves. It also features two-and-a-half hours' worth of performances, including "Long Distance Runaround," "And You and I," "I've Seen All Good People: I. Your Move, II. All Good People," "Roundabout," and "Yours Is No Disgrace," as well as some solo pieces by the individual musicians. In fact, one of the features on the DVD lets users select an audio-only playback of the performances. Buyers can also pick up a free poster designed by Yes artist Roger Dean at yesposters.com. A one-hour special with footage from Yesspeak will air in the spring. The Ultimate Yes - 35th Anniversary Collection: The three-CD package includes music from every phase of Yes's long career, including "Starship Trooper," their version of Simon & Garfunkel's "America," and "Owner Of A Lonely Heart," as well as staples like "Roundabout," "Yours Is No Disgrace," and "Long Distance Runaround." The Ultimate Yes has already come out in Europe, but this version has a bonus third disc with five newly-recorded unreleased songs, including the all-new track "Show Me" and acoustic versions of "South Side Of The Sky" and "Roundabout," which will be released as a single. It also has the solo piece "Australia" from guitarist Steve Howe, while bassist Chris Squire reworks the classical piece "New World Symphony," which was written by 19th Century composer and violinist Antonin Dvorak. The tracklisting for The Ultimate Yes - 35th Anniversary Collection includes: Disc One -- "Time And A Word," "Starship Trooper," "Yours Is No Disgrace," "I've Seen All Good People," "Roundabout," "Long Distance Runaround," "Heart Of The Sunrise," "South Side Of The Sky," "And You And I," "America" (single edit), and "Wondrous Stories."
