The legendary rock band brings their musical magic to the Budweiser Events Center on Saturday, September 11 at 7:30 p.m. Dream Theater is scheduled to open for Yes. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, July 10th at 10 a.m. through Comcast Tix. "We are thrilled to announce the first show of our 2nd season," said Global-Spectrums Rick Hontz, General Manager of the Budweiser Events Center, "Having Yes perform in a venue as intimate as ours is sure to make for an evening of music that Northern Colorado wont soon forget." For nearly three decades, Yes has stunned audiences around the world with their bold rhythmic structures, soaring harmonies and virtuoso instrumentals which have been haled as innovative, and even cosmic. Over the past few decades, Yes has reconfigured its band membership line-up many times. Their current line-up of musicians who will be performing include: lead vocalist Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, lead guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Rick Wakeman and drummer Alan White, all of who combine for as classic and talented a grouping of Yes members ever assembled. In 1968 Yes was one of the last super groups to break out of Londons Marquee Club, following in the footsteps of The Who and The Stones. Since then, Yes has 32 albums to its credit including "Close to The Edge," "Awaken," "Tormato," "Roundabout," and "Starship Trooper." More recently, the quintessential line-up of Anderson, Squire, Howe, Wakeman and White have re-released many of their classic songs along with two new studio tracks: "That, That Is," and "Be The One," proving that their sounds are as timeless as ever. "Were not making a comeback, were moving forward. Its the right place and the right time and the music sounds better than it ever did," says Anderson. Dream Theater, a band that made their mark in the late 80s and early 90s with hits like "Pull Me Under," "Falling into Infinity," and "Scenes From a Memory" has been announced as the special guest. Most recently, Dream Theater has released "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence," a 2-disc album that has received the best reaction yet from Dream Theater fans. The Budweiser Events Center at the Ranch, located in Loveland, CO, is a 7,200-seat multi-purpose venue, which opened in September 2003, and is home to the Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League and the Colorado Chill of the National Womens Basketball League. The arena, which is owned by Larimer County, is managed by Global Spectrum.
